Friend in Needs Navigation (FINN)
Develop, implement and review intervention plans for students with additional needs
Why it’s here
Develop, implement and review intervention plans for students with additional needs (SwANs). • Plan interventions: Education Officers and Allied Educators can identify protective factors, barriers and priority areas within an ecological framework. • Collaborate effectively: Teachers can gather and triangulate information from stakeholders, while Allied Educators focus their expertise on targeted support. • Apply evidence-based strategies: FINN recommends strategies and provides step-by-step implementation guidance. • Support differentiated learning: The tool can help develop lesson plans and activities aligned with the Self-Management Skills curriculum in TRANSIT, LSP 2.0, SDR 2.0 and RRP 2.0. • Build on school testing: Staff involved in these programmes at Cantonment Primary School have tested FINN in practice. FINN is designed to support timely, data-informed intervention planning for students with additional needs.
